Frederick Damen

Freddy is a fourth year Biomedical Engineering graduate student in the IU/Purdue MD/PhD program. His current research involves the use of high-frequency ultrasound to characterize various models of cardiac disease in mice. Freddy grew up in the city of Chicago, often swimming and playing baseball, which then evolved during undergrad into a love of water polo. Following his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering degree at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, he came back to the Midwest and joined the IU/Purdue MSTP program and continues to play water polo, both playing with the Purdue men's team and coaching the women's team.
